Rd1 Uk Bike Park – April 5th

2009 Series Round 1

The 2009 series kicks off at Uk Bike Park in Dorset,
We are sure this venue will make a great start to 2009 season.

The Track

This is purpose built 4X track built for the National Series last winter, It will be a good test for riders with the highest wooden start hill and the longest start straight of the series this year will for super fast racing.

  • 9.00am to 10.30am Registration
  • 10.00am to 11.00am Open Practice
  • 11.00am to 12. noon Gate Practice
  • 12.30pm Four Motos
  • 2.00pm Quarters & Semi’s
  • 3.30pm Finals A & B
  • 4.30pm Podium Presentations

Location & Getting there

Uk Bike Park is located at the top of Okeford hill near Shillingstone Dorset. It’s possable to get to the top carpark both from Yeovil, Sturminster Newton, Blandford or Dorchester.

Directions

Camping

There is plenty of room for camping, you can camp ONLY on the race weekend. Camping is £5 per person.

The camping field is open from Friday morning onwards and is based on a first come first served basis (there is plenty of room). The camp site is situated within the site right next to the track which makes it easy for all to enjoy the activities on offer.

Toilets will be provided.

Saturday goings on.

Uk Bike Park is running an uplift day if you want to try out the downill tracks.
We will do some Gate Practice on Saturday Afternoon if anyone wants to try out the gate. if free for the practice but the normal riding fee is payable to Uk Bike Park.

Catering on Site

There is catering on site for the event and a pig roast planned for Saturday night.

Entries – Important

Online Entry has now closed.
You can still enter on the day just turn up 10.30am to register, you can also do it on Saturday.

 

Race Categories

New Categories this year.

These categories are for people who want to give 4X races ago, they are open to anyone without a Racing Licence

  • Fun 12-17 Year olds
  • Big Fun 18+ Year olds

British Cycling Race Licence Required. (you can get these from British Cycling)

  • Juvenile 12-14 Year olds
  • Youth 15-16 Year olds
  • Junior 17-18 Year olds
  • Senior 19-29 Year olds
  • Master 30-39 Year olds
  • Veteran 40+ Year olds
  • Pro Elite 18+ Year olds

SAFETY AND MANNERS.

Safety: *No camp fires due to high fire risk. *Dogs will be allowed if on leads. *Spectators must be aware of the dangers of spectator at this Extreme Sports event. Stand in sensible places, pay attention to the riders at all times and never cross the course unless you can clearly see it is safe to do so.
